ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Users may experience a heightened sense of smell, sound and light after a float session. First time users may experience nausea. Skin should not wrinkle as epsom salts have an emollient (softening and soothing) effect.
CAN IT RELIEVE PAIN?
The effect of float therapy on chronic pain has been confirmed by several studies. Floatation therapy shown to be an effective way of treating tension headaches, muscle tension, and pain. A small study of seven participants found that float therapy was effective in treating whiplash-associated disorders, such as neck pain and stiffness and reduced range of motion. It has also been shown to reduce stress-related pain.
CAN IT IMPROVE CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH?
Flotation therapy may improve your cardiovascular health by inducing deep relaxation that reduces stress levels and improves sleep, according to research. Chronic stress and sleep deprivation have been linked to high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.
WILL I FEEL CLAUSTROPHOBIC, DROWN OR BECOME TRAPPED?
Prior to use, we will show you how to open and close the door to the tank, from the inside. Some people prefer to begin with the door open and close it when comfortable. Our floatation pod is fitted with an internal call alarm and light and you can get out of the tank at any time. If you fall asleep, you will stay afloat due to the buoyancy of the water. Some discomfort may occur if the salt water gets in your eyes. While drowning in a floatation tank is possible, it is extremely unlikely.
CAN I FLOAT IF I'M PREGNANT?
Yes, floatation is great for releasing pressure and relaxing.
